Gorillas win.

This is an old story, but one worth adding to the collection because, although we have no pictures as proof, it was an epic idea.

Close to the end of Final's week at the College, we were feeling the need to kick off Christmas break with something that would cause spontaneous laughter. And there just happened to be a gorilla mask and a banana suit in our posession. What else could we do?

So around noon, when everyone was getting out of their finals for lunch, a gorilla was seen chasing a banana all over campus. They terrorized Laura Peckarico, the Chaplain, scared some people in the UG, and elsewhere. The chase ended with the surrender of the banana to Mr. Gorilla who dragged the banana back home for dinner. RIP Mr. Banana.

Thankfully, the security car did not pass these two on their escapades or they certainly would have gotten a useless lecture from the only rent-a-(fake)cop on campus who does not know them by name.

Mr. Banana died a very painful death, but at least his spirit can rest in the assurance that this tyranny will not last. There will be retribution...

In KDH

I'm sitting in King's Daughters' Hospital right now with my best friend and twin, Krista, on a hospital bed with a busted foot. She busted it throwing some cans over a fence on night in Louisville, cracked it sideways. And now, because she can't stand the pain anymore, I got to drive her to the ER right after dinner.

I havn't yet mentioned on this blog about how janky King's Daughters' Hospital is. Last time I had to bring a different friend, so many things were malfunctioning that I wrote a rap about how ghetto the place is:

King's Daughter's Rap
(Inspired by an ER run at 12 midnight to KDH)
By Rosa New

This place is so jank
jank, jank
Everything goes clank
clank, clank
The doc's so broke
He ain't got no stethescope!
If your feelin' like hell
and ya wann get well,
Don't come here!
The bed just fell
apart, apart
I'll just put ya in a cart
We'll roll into WalMart
Grab a nettie pot
and make yo pain stop.

Kings D.
Don't you pay me no fee
Your hospital is so jank
We should run it over with a tank!

That should give you a taste of how jank this place can get.

Krista just overheard a couple of nurses talking, here's how the conversation went:
Nurse 1: Has anyone died on your shift yet?
Nurse 2: Nope.
Nurse 1: Your shift isn't over until someone dies....

Oh lovely. Let me count the number of broke things around here that I love. For starters, there's an old whitewashed rocking chair just sitting in the hallway.... I hope I never have to come here... If they say Krista need surgery, we're going to Louisville for it so she doesn't end up as the one dead person for this nurse's shift!

Day 2 of Adventure

After sleeping in some real beds for around 10 hours. We got up and Krista attempted to make some pancakes, which were an epic fail and her grandma reminded her that she should have waited for her to get home from picking up her little cousin. Then her Grandma made a ton of eggs and bacon and toast.
We went to Whole Foods in St. Matthews. I was soooo happy! I hadn't been in a Whole Foods since I left my home in California so I spent nearly the whole time walking around in a dreamy, happy haze. I bought some tea, lotion, food, and had to make ourselves leave because we were spending money! ha...After that we drove back to Krista's Grandma's, cooked some rice and ate! Left for Peddlers Mall where we saw some awesome janky stuff, bought a few things, and then went to get Rosa's car looked at to make sure it wouldn't freeze while here in the cold!

Her dad just told a story about how her Mom's phone was going off under the laundry and the ringtone is a bunch of people talking or something weird like that. He thought he had found a crowd of people under the floor. Started asking "where are you?" to the dirty laundry... Hahaha!

We went over to Amanda's house today. That's Krista's pastor's daughter. She has three HUGE dogs. I was playing with one and my finger got twisted weird and now there's a huge slash in my finger, RIGHT next to the cut where I sliced my finger open with a knife accidently. I'm surprised it hasn't fallen off.

We're trying to find some materials for our next largest prank. If we can find some high tension wire, wire pliers, screwdrivers, and a ladder, we'll be spending one whole day setting up the most epic prank EVER. Sorry Laura. It'll be after Christmas break though, so it's legit.

My phone's dead so I've got my SIM card in Krista's old janky phone until I find a car charger at some gas station.

Not looking forward to driving to Indy and back tomorrow...

Day 1 of Adventures

We left Hanover a little after 4pm today to head to Louisville! We arrived at Krista's Grandma's house around 5:30 where her family was already there with lots of food prepared! We sat down and shared a meal, cut jokes, and laughed about how people from Kentucky sound whent they talk.
After dinner we drove down Dixie to Krista's house, picked up her little brother, went to Wal-Mart and picked up some toilet paper. We then headed to her Aunts house where all the lights were on and the dog was outside. We decided to go ahead with the plan and launched TP into the trees when the door swung open and out popped two midget children with her aunt to yell at us! As we walked up to the house Jason tried to grab thier Aunt when the dog jumped up and bit him in the butt!!!
We went inside and watched Krista's brother get beat up by their "Slightly" intoxicated Aunt, then decided to take Rosa and "show her around" this side of Louisville by tp'ing a few more houses. After doing a couple of houses we went to Speedway and Judy and the little kids went in to get some things, so Krista and Josh (her cousin) moved the cars around the side of the building. When they came out of the store they looked around and spotted the truck!
Needless to say it was an epic adventure in the south end of Louisville. Tomorrows adventure will be just as epic, I'm sure!

Biographies

We are two students at Hanover College who do a lot of weird stuff from screaming at echoes to gorilla masks to pranking holy people.

I'm Rosa. I'm a cancer who likes sushi and tea. I like long walks on the beach, holding hands long after it stops being necessary, and romantic candle-lit dinners followed by more holding of the hands in large red chairs in front to the roaring fireplace.

Wow, that crap is cornyyyyyy! I do like sushi and tea. But the rest is a bunch of bull that was fun to write. I am pretty spontaneous and quirky. I love everyone, but dislike human culture as a whole. We are too materialistic and whiny. I like climbing trees, swinging from trees, rock climbing with no ropes, walking through waterfalls, Jesus, etc.
